PLAYING CHURCH

For some reason, Jesus left the fate of the church in the hands of humans. And spoiler alert: humans make mistakes. In this series, we dive into some areas where the church is missing the Biblical mark, and how to fix it as a community.

Week 1

NO FAILURES AT THE FINISH LINE

Despite over 2,000 years of practice, Christians are still trying to figure out how to do church without frustration, fatigue, and hurt. If you've experienced any of these (or more) in a church, you're not alone. In this new series, we'll dive into what the Bible says about fixing the spots where the church at large has gone wrong. This week, we key in on the importance of running the race of life together.

Week 2

WHEN WOLVES WEAR WOOL

From the very beginning of the church, we've been warned about wolves in sheep's clothing. If you've been hurt in a church, you've probably encountered one. But how we can recognize and root this behavior out before the betrayals happen? In week 2 of "Playing Church," Pastor Jason dives into 4 ways that we can identify these wolves and the importance of protecting our church community from them.

Week 3

WHEN YOU’RE TOO TIRED TO CARE

When someone asks how you're doing, how often is the answer "busy"? God didn't design our lives to be defined by how busy we are, and if you're tired of being tired, this message is for you. In Week 3 of "Playing Church," we look at three warning signs of the modern busyness plague and how to recalibrate a life centered on what matters.

Week 4

WHEN FAMILY FIGHTS

A church without conflict doesn't exist. It's a place filled with people from different backgrounds, political affiliations, and even different specific beliefs. But God created the church knowing these differences would exist. In the final week of "Playing Church," we dive into the teachings of Paul and Jesus himself on the importance of settling conflicts in the church the right way - and staying unified in Chirst through it all.
